This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

For anyone who has ever wanted to try eating a vegan diet and has been apprehensive because of common misconceptions, listen up!

Although many may assume that eating foods that are free of animal products is a restrictive or impossible endeavor, we are here to assure you that it is, in fact, achievable. Even more so, it can be easy!

There are plenty of brands that carry vegan-friendly variations of amazing foods. So, don’t think that in order to eat dairy-free ice cream you need to make it from scratch. Here’s a comprehensive list of just a few of the fabulous brands that produce vegan cuisine.

Annie’s Mac & Cheese

Lazy girls rejoice! Annie’s, a brand that is known for its organic products and rich flavors, includes a dairy-free version of its notorious mac & cheese for its vegan customers. Boxed and ready to go, this creamy dish can be cooked up in fifteen minutes without much effort at all.

Bragg Nutritional Yeast

Nutritional yeast (understandably) sounds a bit suspicious. However, it acts as the perfect cheese alternative. It is an excellent source of protein and vitamin B12 (which is found in meat) while remaining low in sodium. It makes everything taste cheesy and delicious while staying completely dairy-free. Sprinkle it atop a salad or stir it into a soup—it’s versatile, easy, and yummy!

Earth Balance Butter

Made from natural oils that combine in utter perfection to produce a buttery taste, Earth Balance’s original butter spread is perfect for baking, spreading and melting. Named the ultimate “toast topper” by the brand itself, this product is completely vegan and totally delicious.

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream

Although there have been alternatives to ice cream for quite some time, there has never been an extensive variety of crazy flavors. Ben & Jerry’s stepped up their game and released an array of amazing flavors that are 100% dairy-free. Now, lovers of the brand’s Chunky Monkey, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Coffee Caramel Fudge and P.B. & J Cookies can indulge in a sweet treat while still keeping their vegan standard. #Winning

Liz Lovely Cookies

From Triple Chocolate Mint to Ginger Snapdragon to the classic Oatmeal Raisin, Liz Lovely is a brand that crates and packages a variety of cookies and truffles that are both vegan and gluten free. No need to spend time baking, these cookies come prepared and ready to be devoured!

There you have it! Five brands that have made life a whole lot easier by producing delicious, easy vegan products for food fanatics everywhere! Bon appétit!
