Top Places in the States to be on New Year’s Eve

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Somehow this semester has flown by. One minute everyone was instagramming photos of their newly tucked in rooms, their fluffed up pillows, and their tidy desks. The next minute, rooms have exploded with books and papers, rejected outfits from last weekend’s night out, and those Christmas lights that you just can’t seem to keep pinned to your wall. It is dark out by 4pm, finals are around the next corner, and everyone is yearning to ship back home for the holidays, where all is tucked in, fluffed up, and tidy.

So while you are dreaming of home and the holidays already, propel yourself forward to New Year’s, because, believe it or not, it is time to begin planning.

1. New York City, New York

Concrete jungle where dreams are made of. What more can I say?

Head to Times Square, make the journey. You won’t regret it, no matter how much your friends make fun of you for wearing a diaper to avoid bathroom lines.

2. Las Vegas, Nevada

No shortage of nightlife here— it’s called the strip for a reason.

3. Miami or Orlando, Florida

Craft beer and mixed drinks galore, you won’t want to miss the fun

4. Nashville, Tennessee

For the country singer in all of us. Rock on!

5. Columbus, Ohio

Let’s not underestimate Ohio— they have more breweries than can be counted on one hand.
