Top 5 Unisex Fall/Winter 2014 Pieces

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

If I could have classy brunch with anyone in the world, living or dead, I would probably choose the first woman to steal her boyfriends T shirt and jeans and wear them in public. Whoever she is, she needs to be thanked for her inspiring and innovative actions. The boyfriend should be thanked too because his jeans must have been semi-cute. The slouchy shirt and baggy jeans look is something both men and women can pull off. Many women’s clothing designers are creating the oversized T’s and jeans and putting the word boyfriend in front of them. Men benefit from this because their shirts and jeans will stop mysteriously disappearing. It makes it easier for women to achieve this look without wandering into the mens department at Saks, causing a sales person to tell you that the women’s section is on the other side. At the age of 20, I think I am able to differentiate the women’s and men’s departments in a clothing store. Beyond the shirt and jeans however, there are a couple of other clothing items you could possibly steal from your boyfriend and become the next person I wish to have a classy brunch with.

Trendy sneakers:

These Valentino sneakers are pricey but totally worth it. Even W Magazine wrote about them. That’s when you know they are trendy.

Oversized Sweaters:

This JI OH sweater can really pull together the “I just left my boyfriend’s apartment and threw on his sweater because I can’t be seen in last night’s clothing” look. It can also be a great casual look for guys if paired with jeans.

Leather jackets:

IRO is the best brand for both male and female leather jackets in my opinion. End of story.

Bomber jackets:

A twist on the classic guys football letterman jacket. Minus the obnoxious high school letters and pins. Ew.

Plaid. Just plaid:

Mostly plaid button downs or shirts are in style. I don’t mean the red and black plaid flannels. Step it up a bit and splurge on a Rails button down.

Or for guys; try some Ralph Lauren.

Stay stylish, BU.

If there's anything I've mastered in this life, it's a successful hair flip.
