Things You Can Be Thankful For This Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

With Thanksgiving just days away, now is the perfect time to think about all of the things in our life that we are grateful for.  Here are some things you can be thankful for this year:

Be thankful that the Twilight movies are almost done being released.

Be thankful that is has been announced that Friday Night Lights is hitting the big screen…again.  This time with the cast from the TV show.

Be thankful that after you get back to school after the Thanksgiving break, you only have a few weeks until the semester is over.

Be thankful that Chelsea Handler’s book, Are You There Vodka? It’s me, Chelsea, is being turned into a sitcom series that’s airing in January.

Be thankful that the holiday season is just kicking off and your days are about to be filled with winter music, decorative lights, and gift-giving.

Be thankful that Marcel the Shell With Shoes on is getting his own television show.  And he has his own book.
Be thankful that stars such as Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake, and Kristin Cavallari accepted offers from different soldiers to attend military events.  It’s a small example of the truth that good people still exist in the world who are capable of doing good deeds.

And perhaps, most importantly, be thankful you’re a BU student.  Going to school in Boston is truly a blessing.  No where else can one be in a big city that is so rich in culture, history, learning, and beauty.  There is truly no better place to learn.
