Stages of Leaving College for the Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Summer is nearing

You can’t wait to go home and see all of your friends again

And have a party

And just hang in the sun all day

No more papers

No more scary professors

No more studying

Freedom!

But then: PLOT TWIST…

…you need to study for finals

And you open your books for the first time this semester and don’t understand anything

And your life is a mess

So you try to create a study group

But its not quite working out for you

And your study pals are just like…

And no matter how hard you try this happens instead

Your RA gets mad at you for being loud during study period

And you just feel like

So you go to the library

And you try to find some smart kid to help you

But then when nobody tries to help you…

Then its 2AM and someone’s like

And when you’re friends from back home ask you how you’re doing you just say

And they’re just like

And you’re just like:

And your parents are just like

Meanwhile they’re just at home like

So on the night before your exams you’re just like

And you wake up the next morning looking like this

You walk into your exam room

During your exam you look up and make eye contact with the professor

 And just want to say

When it’s all over you think to yourself

And you realize its summer

And you think

So you pack all of your things

It’s so easy, it’s practically magic

And you’re ready to go

And then you see your roommate’s face

And think of all the great memories you’ve had this semester

You become super sentimentalAnd you don’t wanna leave

But you know you have to go

And summer will be amazing

And next semester even better than last!!
