Newbury Street Coffee: There’s A Shop For Everyone

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Everyone loves a good cup of coffee or a sweet treat. No matter the weather, a nice coffee and a pastry are the perfect pick-me-up!

This semester, I made it my mission to find cafes that work perfectly for every occasion. Newbury Street is filled with the best places to grab a quick treat, coffee, or tea at any point in your day.

Trident Booksellers and Cafe

Filled with endless books and trinkets, Trident Booksellers and Cafe is the perfect place to study, grab a coffee, or purchase gifts for yourself or a friend! The shop is stocked with locally designed knickknacks, greeting cards, and amazing books. It’s the best bookstore and cafe combined in one.

Located right next to the Hynes Convention Center stop, it’s easily accessible and surrounded by great stores on Newbury Street. There is ample seating, and breakfast is served all day! Trident is the perfect spot to curl up with a book, shop, and enjoy pancakes until midnight.

Central perk Coffee Co.

Modeled after the cafe from the iconic Friends TV show, Central Perk is an amazing spot to enjoy coffee and a quick bite with friends. If you are looking for a spot to sit and talk for hours, this is the place for you.

There’s a wide variety of seating options and the decor is perfect for photos. The coffee and food menu is large and offers something for everyone. You can even try a “Princess Consuela’s Banana Mocha” to live like Phoebe!

Pavement is the best coffee shop on Newbury Street for a quick stop during your shopping adventure. They have a variety of coffee and bagel options that meet everyone’s desires. Their vegan cream cheese is amazing, and there are always so many bagels to choose from.

There’s usually a pretty long line and limited seating options, but the richly flavored coffee is made perfectly for a quick grab-and-go option.

Blue Bottle Coffee

I would say Blue Bottle Coffee is the best spot for true coffee fanatics. The story behind the cafe and its coffee beans is rich and vibrant. Anyone looking for the perfect latte, macchiato, or cappuccino knows that having perfectly oiled beans and the right ratio of steamed milk, foam, and espresso is crucial. Blue Bottle absolutely nails every aspect of coffee.

Starbucks

Starbucks is a classic option for anyone looking for coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, or a nice little cake pop to brighten their day. It’s an easy go-to on Newbury Street that tends to be slightly less busy than some of the other tourist coffee shops. Starbucks is a good option if you’re looking for a classic drink or if you’d just like to mobile order, pick up quickly, and continue on with your day.

Regardless of what vibe you’re looking for, Newbury Street Has Many amazing options. try them All and Find your favorite!
