New Book Releases to Keep an Eye Out For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

The snow is starting to melt (as long as we don’t get another blizzard), the sun is shining just a little bit brighter, and there’s the promise of Spring on its way. Not only is warmer weather on the horizon, but so are new books for you to read! Imagine picking up one of these highly anticipated books and relaxing in the shade on a warm day. If you want this in your future, here’s what’s new in the world of books!

1. You Will Be Mine by Natasha Preston.

I am a huge fan of Natasha Preston! She originally started out on Wattpad, but I didn’t find her until her work hit the shelves of Barnes and Noble. She’s an incredible suspense and thriller YA writer. I can get through her work within a day, so this book is something I can’t wait to add to my collection!

2. Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

Jodi Picoult is a well-known, outstanding author of adult books. One of my favorite books, Handle with Care, is written by her. She deals with deep and sometimes controversial topics in a way that makes you think but still enjoy the book.

3. Still Me by Jojo Moyes.

I’m sure you’ve heard of Moyes before (think: Me Before You). She writes amazing, detailed books that tend to deal with heart-wrenching romance. The covers are also beautiful, and always fit together — now you can add this to your Moyes collection!

4. Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews.

This book isn’t a super new release, but it received an updated cover based on the new movie. The movie, though I have yet to see it, seems really interesting and I want to read this book as a result! Moreso, I want to read the book before I see the movie; it’s just the only way to do it!

5. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas.

This novel isn’t even out yet! It comes out on May 1st, so any of you that are itching to get your hands on it can mark it down on your calendar. This is the next book in her series A Court of Wings and Ruin. Maas is a well-known, beloved fantasy YA writer whose books I really want to get into next!

There are so many new books coming out this Spring! These are only a few of the books I absolutely cannot wait to get into, but I know that there are others I want to read and even more new releases on the way.
