My taste in music is in one word: eclectic. I typically listen to hip-hop and rap styles, but my iPod is filled with a wide array of artists and genres. However, most of what I listen to would be described as “guilty pleasure” music. With that said, I’d like to share some musical recommendations from my iTunes library to yours. Here are a few albums that I’ve been currently playing on repeat.
Â
Now Playing on My IPod:
Rihanna- TalkÂ
That Talk
- This is one of those rare cases where I like every single track on an album. Rihanna belts over catchy dance beats with dubstep undertones that are super fun to dance to.
- Favorite tracks: “We Found Love”, “Talk That Talk”, “Roc Me Out”
Drake- Take Care
- Take Care is, in my opinion, Drake’s best work thus far. His raps are clever, as usual, and the beats will be stuck in your head for days.
- Favorite tracks: “Make Me Proud”, “The Motto”, “HYFR”
Coldplay- Mylo Xyloto
- I love this album! Its more upbeat songs are exploding with sound and energy, while its slower songs are soothing to the ears.
- Favorite tracks: “Paradise”, “Princess of China”
Demi Lovato- Unbroken
- Lovato shows off her soulful voice in Unbroken, through powerful ballads and sassy R&B tracks. This girl has got major talent, which makes her so fun to listen (and sing) to!
- Favorite tracks: “Give Your Heart A Break”, “In Real Life”
Mac Miller- Blue Slide Park
- Favorite tracks: “Smile Back”, “Party on Fifth Ave”
Gavin Degraw- Sweeter
- Favorite tracks: “Soldier”, “Not Over You”
Beyoncé- 4
- Favorite Tracks: “Love On Top”, “Party”
