The Most Anticipated Albums of 2016

With a new year comes a lot of new music. 2016 is set to bring tracks from some of our favorite artists, ending the ongoing waiting. Although some records don’t have concrete release dates yet, here are some of the most anticipated albums of 2016!

Kanye West, “The Life of Pablo”

Set to release on February 11th, Kanye West’s long-awaited album has high expectations. A lot of hype has been built through his myriad of tweets throughout the past months, including album title and track changes.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, “This Unruly Mess I’ve Made”

Macklemore’s next album will be released on February 26, featuring his latest hit, “White Privilege II.”

The 1975, “I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It”

The band’s sophomore album will be out on February 26, infused with flares of pop similar to their singles “Love Me” and “The Sound.”

Miike Snow, “iii”

The Swedish trio’s third album will be released on March 4, the first album from them after three years.

Drake, “Views From The 6”

Although this album doesn’t have a set release date, it is rumored to be released this April. Until then, fans are (im)patiently awaiting the spring to see what Drake has in store.

Sky Ferreria, “Masochism”

With no release date announced, Sky Ferreria has reassured fans that she is hard at work crafting an album with a heavy focus on personal moments.

Frank Ocean, TBA

Although there is not much to say about Frank Ocean’s upcoming album, rumors have suggested that it will be released sometime this year. We’re ready whenever you are, Frank.

Haim, TBA

An interview with the band revealed that they were in the process of recording the songs for their next album, which is predicted to be released this year.

Kings of Leon, TBA

With no release date confirmed, the band mentioned in an interview that they were deep into the writing process for there next album.

The Brand New, TBA

The Brand New are reportedly working on their latest album, which will be their most recent work since their first album, “Daisy,” released in 2009.

The XX, TBA

Album rumors began when Jamie xx confirmed that the band was hard at work crafting new music. 

Blink-182, TBA

Blink-182 fans everywhere are anticipating their upcoming album, which was confirmed to be officially in the works.

With so many artists releasing new music this year, fans everywhere have high expectations for 2016. We can’t wait to hear these new albums!
