Home Towns For The Bachelor Are Finally Here, And So Are My Predictions

I hate to admit it, but I didn’t get into The Bachelor until I was in high school. Like many show fans, I haven’t been impressed with its last few contestants and stopped watching because of it. However, when I learned this season’s Bachelor is from my hometown, I knew I had to tune in this year.

Over the last few weeks, Joey has seemed to capture America’s heart and has landed the official title of “The Internet’s Favorite Bachelor.” This past week, fans watched as the final four contestants moved on after a dramatic rose ceremony to officially mark the start of hometown dates.

I have been following along every episode, turning to X (formerly Twitter) to validate my plethora of opinions. Now that my brother is binging the entire season and blowing up my phone with his own commentary, I figured it would be the perfect time to share my predictions for next week and the season finale.

Warning: Spoilers for after “Episode 7” ahead!

I think Rachel is completely underrated. She has seemed like one of the sweetest girls this season, however, her connection with Joey does not seem as strong as some of the others. She has mentioned multiple times that she prefers a slow burn, and while that’s great, it typically is not conducive to this show. After seeing the trailer for next week, I truly think that Rachel will be going home. I also predict that her family, whom she is very close to, will like Joey but not support her Bachelor journey.

Maria has won America’s hearts, and I am no exception. Our favorite firecracker has faced her fair share of drama but has still managed to build one of the strongest connections with Joey. In a conversation with him this week, she shared that she feels increasingly uncomfortable with his relationships with the other women. I think Maria will make it to the Fantasy Suite, but I don’t think she will be able to stay if Joey spends the night with any of the others. However, my fingers are crossed that she is our next Bachelorette!

Daisy is truly the fan favorite. From the first episode, social media has been roaring on about the natural chemistry between her and Joey. Personally, I think Joey and Daisy have a very strong relationship, but she has expressed that she is not in love with him yet. I predict that she will make it to the final rose ceremony, but the trend is going to continue. While Daisy could win, I think Joey might decide he is more in love with another contestant.

I am disappointed to say that I underestimated Kelsey A. Joey expressed from day one how attracted he was to her beauty and presence. However, it wasn’t until her one-on-one that I saw the sparks start to fly. She is unproblematic, funny, smart, and very silly. At the end of the day, Joey seems to be the most excited about Kelsey, and I think he will propose to her in the end.

what do you think of this season?
