With summer almost here that means that festival season is here too! Music festivals are not only fun for the music, but there is so much creativity and style that goes behind it that you won’t want to miss out on some of these festival must haves.

1)   Protection!

No, not the Condom Fairy type of protection. You’re going to be out in the sun for a large amount of time during the day and it is so important that you stay protected. Wear hats, and sunglasses to protect your beautiful eyes and face. Also, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN. Don’t be that girl who ends up looking like a lobster after the first day. Not only does it look and feel terrible, it’s going to make the next days at the festival very difficult.

2)   Reusable Water Bottle

Not only do you want to be protected from the suns harmful rays, but you want to stay hydrated as well. Staying hydrated is one of the most important things to do at festivals where you are standing around in the heat all day. Most festivals provide water bottle fill up stations so remember to bring a re-usable one so you don’t have to pay an absurd amount for a plastic one. By bringing your own bottle, you’ll also helping save the environment!

3)   Body Jewelry

Although flash tattoos are still cute, body jewelry is the newest trend for festivals this year. Whether it be a head piece, an upper arm band, or a full on cross body piece of jewelry, make sure you are channeling your inner hippie self and wear some!

4)   Shorts and Shoes

Shorts and shoes are items that can completely make or break a festival experience. Make sure they are durable and that you have worn them before. Don’t make the mistake of wearing an item of clothing that you haven’t worn before because you won’t be able to change out of it. You don’t want to be halfway through the day having to take your shoes off because they are giving you blisters. A pair of Converse is always a great festival item. Make sure you’re shorts are comfy, durable, and have pockets to hold things. You can’t go wrong with a pair of denim cut-offs!

5)   Bag

Ladies, you know you are not going to want to carry your cellphone and other things around in your pockets so make sure you bring a small, lightweight bag. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a cross body, shoulder, or fanny pack, just make sure you are able to throw your hands up and dance around without having things fall out!

6)   Flower crown

If you are feeling extra girly and want to spice up your outfit a little, you can’t go wrong with a flower crown. They look super cute and you can even make them yourself or with a couple friends!
