Easy, Gourmet Finals Week Snacks

Need a break from studying? Sick of boring, pre-packaged snacks? Try these easy, gourmet recipes that you can make right in your dorm! They can help soothe the soul and get you through those finals-week blues. 

 

Black and White Popcorn:

  1. Make a bag of any brand of kettle corn.
  2. Put Oreos in a plastic bag.
  3. Crush the Oreos (use with any textbook you have ignored).
  4. Melt white chocolate chips in a bowl for 30-50 seconds.
  5. Mix Oreos in a bowl of popcorn.
  6. Drizzle white chocolate on top.

 

Barbeque Tuna:

  1. Use any brand of packaged “tuna in water”.
  2. Put a spoonful of BBQ sauce right into the packaging.
  3. And just stir!
  4. If you are looking for some spice, add a spoonful of Sriracha for an extra kick!

 

Crunchy Banana:

  1. Spread any of your favorite peanut butter on a peeled banana.
  2. Put Rice Krispies onto a plate and roll the banana in it. 
  3. Cut the banana into little slices and enjoy. 

 

P.B. & Honey Bars:

  1.  Put 6 cups of Rice Krispies, a cup of peanut butter, and a cup of flaxseeds into a bowl.
  2.  Heat up a cup of honey and add it into the bowl.
  3.  Mix the ingredients till fully combined.
  4.  Take a handful of the mix, form it into a square, and put it on a plate.
  5.  Repeat step 5 until complete and refrigerate the bars for 30 minutes.  

 

Salty & Sweet Rods:

  1. Crush Cocoa Puffs (or any sweet cereal) on a plate.
  2. Sprinkle coconut with the cereal.
  3. Melt a cup of white chocolate chips for 30-60 seconds.
  4. Dip each pretzel rod in the chocolate.
  5. Roll the pretzel in the cereal/coconut mix.
  6. Put each pretzel on wax paper and set for 30 minutes.
