DIY Nail Art: Chevron Tape Mani

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

When our favorite celebs walk the red carpet, we aren’t just looking at their gorgeous dresses anymore. We’re checking out their creative manis! So when I first saw Revlon Neon nail polish, I knew I had to have it. This double sided brush just screams nail art! I opted for a chevron style mani, which I shaped using scotch tape.

Tape manicures are a fun and easy way to get a professional nail art look. And this chevron mani is just one design possibility!

Get the look:

Step 1: After applying a base coat, completely paint your nails with the white side of your Revlon Neon brush. Note: you can use any color here, just make sure it’s lighter than your second polish choice.

Step 2: Once the first color is completely dry, cut off small pieces of scotch or masking tape. Then, put 2 pieces of tape over your first nail, forming an upside down triangle shape, and apply the neon nail polish.

I find taping one nail at a time makes it easier to get the shape right.

Try it out? Tweet @hercampusbu your finished manis!
