Name: Daniel Lopez
Age: 20
Hometown: San Bernardino
Major: Political Science/ Public Policy
Relationship: Single and ready to mingle
Â
Daniel is one of the most involved cuties on BU’s campus. He is the president of the Nu Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the treasurer of Alianza Latina, a coordinator of the Chelsea Homework Help program and a member of the Alianza Latina intramural softball team. He is also a new BA/MA accelerated degree candidate in CAS. Talk about drive!
Â
HCBU: You’re so involved on campus! What are your interests outside of academics and student groups?
Daniel: I really like playing sports, hanging out with friends, having discussions about recent events, exploring new places, and serving the greater community. Did I mention food? And lots of it.
Â
HCBU: Where do you see yourself in 10-15 years?
Daniel: Running my own non-profit, specializing in education reform for grades K-12.
Â
HCBU: Rumor has it that you’re an awesome dancer. Care to give us any lessons?
Daniel: I would definitely be down. The way I see it, a guy has to know how to dance if he wants to make a girl look like a superstar!
Â
HCBU: Describe your ideal first date.
Daniel: I honestly think it depends on the girl. I’m very open to trying new things and doing whatever she wants to do. So if a girl really likes sports we can go watch a game or even play a sport if she’s down.
Â
HCBU: Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Daniel: Java Chip frappe with whipped cream from Starbucks!
Â
HCBU: So you really love Captain America. Why is that?
Daniel: He’s portrayed as an underdog but when obstacles come his way, they don’t faze him. He is always up for a challenge!
