Coming Back to School as Told by Castle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Welcome back! Winter break’s over and the spring semester is in full swing.

But being home for a month can lead to a bit of a culture shock when coming back to school. Your return to college can end up looking something like this…

Pulling up in front of the school:

Regretting trying to carry all your bags in one go:

Seeing your friends again:

Sitting for hours catching up and talking about your breaks:

Forgetting how long the wait for an elevator can be:

Becoming reacquainted with the dining hall:

Remembering how ineffective dining hall coffee can be:

Trying to memorize your new class schedule:

Getting to class and expecting to have an easy first day:

…But then your teacher assigns an ungodly amount of work:

Racing to your back-to-backs across campus:

When you already have the urge to skip class:

Getting that first paper in by the 11:59 deadline:

The look your pre-med friends give you when you complain about your workload:

Preparing to make dorm meals again:

Forgetting how loud the dorms can be when you’re trying to sleep:

But being glad that you’re back with your friends again:

Good luck in the new semester!
