What are you involved in on campus and how did you get involved there?

“I am very much so involved in the Community Service Center here at BU! I was an Animals Staff Leader this past summer for FYSOP 24, an Alternative Spring Break Coordinator during this year, and this summer I will be a FYSOP 25 Coordinator! I heard about the CSC through FYSOP and I was very jealous of everyone who had done FYSOP as freshmen, so I decided to go out on a limb and apply for staff. Probably the best decision I have made here at BU, and it made me fall in love with the CSC.”

What is something most people don’t know about you?

“I have a secret love for soul music. Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Marvin Gaye keep me company when I study.”

Favorite BU memory so far:

“Right after the Boston Marathon bombers were caught and thousands of BU students marched to the Commons to celebrate and thank the police officers. There was some magic in the air that night and I could not wipe the smile off my face.”

Life motto:

“Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”

According to Kyle, “it’s very important to realize that we are the generation that the next generation relies on. Our treatment of the world in terms of environment, human rights, and health, shapes what future generations will be able to enjoy or will struggle with. Therefore a question is presented to us individually and as a whole–what are you [we] going to do to shape the ending?”
