There are few things I enjoy more than a good breakfast. After all, it’s the most important meal of the day. Sadly, for us collegiates, breakfast is many times forgotten. Morning classes usually force us to grab a granola bar on the go, and when we can sleep in, it’s often way past breakfast time. Thankfully, you don’t have to venture too far way from Comm Ave to enjoy some mouth-watering a.m. meals. Here are some places to get your breakfast on.

1. If you want good, really cheap breakfast food, then look no further than Busy Bee diner. This no frills joint is a short walk from campus in Brookline and it’s always packed on Saturday mornings. You might have to wait a few minutes to be seated but it’s totally worth it. They have traditional dinner fare and everything for breakfast is under six bucks. My favorite thing on the menu is the two eggs with toast and home fries. All that food only costs $2.85. Now that’s a breakfast bargain.

2. Located in the heart of south campus, Crispy Crepes Café has a little something for everyone. They’re known for their delicious sweet and savory crepes (obviously), which are awesome for breakfast. The Manhattan is a delicious—think a bagel and lox meets a crepe creation. They offer many other breakfast specials from eggs florentine to a grilled blueberry muffin.

3. T. Anthony’s is known as the place to get a slice of pizza in the wee hours of a Saturday night, but did you know that come Sunday morning (and any other day of the week) you can get breakfast there too? Omelets, pancakes, and French toast are all available, just steps away from west campus.

4. Don’t want to leave your dorm for a hearty breakfast? Luckily for Warren Towers residents you don’t have to! On the weekdays, omelets are made by Cecelia, also know to some of my friends as the omelet goddess. Cici knows how to make a delicious and nutritious breakfast and it only costs a swipe!

5. If you’re in the mood for the fanciest of breakfasts and your parents are in town, then trying dining at Eastern Standard. Located in Kenmore Square, this upscale restaurant has pricy, but delicious breakfast and brunch menus perfect for special occasions.

6. Getting its title from the ‘80s brat pack film, The Breakfast Club lives up to its name. It’s a bit further away from BU’s campus, but it’s a great place to walk to when the weather gets nicer. The restaurant has an extensive breakfast menu including milkshakes, smoothies, and specialty teas. They also have delicious breakfast specials with names that allude to characters in the movie that will be sure to please all the members of your club.
