You might find yourself stuck in the routine of swiping into the dining hall every single day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You might even find yourself eating the same foods over and over again. We know that college life is busy, but when you’re craving something different, other options are not hard to find. As a student on BU, not only do you have access to some awesome places to eat on campus, but you are also in one of the greatest cities in the world. If you want to treat yourself, the options are endless and easy to access. Here’s a short list of some options that are close, quick, and affordable.
On-campus:
Sunset Cantina
If you don’t go over to West Campus too often, you might forget that it is home to some of the best food options on campus. Known for their delicious mexican food (especially their oversized portion of nachos), Sunset Cantina is a BU classic. If you ever want a fun lunch or dinner out with your friends, without going too far out of your way, this is a great option for you.
Â
UBurger
You’ve probably walked past its Kenmore location before. You might have even gone there before and tasted the greasy deliciousness that is their burgers and fries. However, you might not have noticed that UBurger’s menu contains some slightly healthier options, including some delicious salads. We recommend the Spiro salad, which consists of field greens, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, pears, dried cranberries, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Where to look off campus:
Newbury Street
You might have walked down Newbury Street before and noticed the countless restaurants that dot the edges of the street, many of which are complete with vibrant outdoor seating areas. Newbury Street is home to all different cuisines for all different prices, and there is not a shadow of doubt that you will find exactly the restaurant you are looking for on this street. The best part is that all you have to do is take the green line to Hynes, only a few stops away, and you are there.
Â
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Maybe it strikes you as a tourist trap, but Faneuil Hall is popular for a reason. If you and your friends are looking for all different kinds of food at once, you will be able to get that at Quincy Market. The options are endless and the food is pretty good quality for its cheap prices. If you are looking for something more put together, Faneuil Hall also has many great restaurants.
Â
The North End
It’s no secret, but The North End is home to some of the best Italian restaurants in Boston. If you are ever dying for some really great Italian food, some incredible options, both formal and casual, are just a T-ride away.
