Bondi Sands Self-Tanner is the product is for anyone who enjoys maintaining a sun-kissed look all year round. Over the years, I have tried dozens of self-tanning products from both drugstore and expensive brands. However, this was my first time using the Australian brand Bondi Sands — and who knows more about the sun and tanning than Australians? I had only heard great reviews about this brand, so I wanted to test it out myself and see what the hype was all about. After trying a wide variety of self-tanners, I consider myself an expert and I feel qualified to give you my honest opinion on Bondi Sands.

Bondi Sands self-tanner comes in three different shades: light/medium, dark and deep dark. The brand also has a variety of other tanning products as well. I mainly focused on testing out the self-tanner foam, in the shade dark. I used the Bondi Sands reusable self-tan application mitt to apply the tanner. When I first put on the self-tanner, I was surprised at how good it smelled compared to most self-tanners. This one smells like coconut, which made it much more bearable to leave it on for several hours. Another thing that surprised me was how well the product went on when I applied it to my skin. It was very easy to rub in and went on more like a lotion rather than your typical sticky self-tanner, which is always a plus.

When I rinsed the excess product off in the morning, I was surprised at how dark the color was. Sometimes you have to apply many layers of self-tanner to make your skin look significantly darker, but with this product, one layer is enough to make a noticeable difference. The color had a slight orange tint to it compared to some of the other products I have used, but if you don’t mind that then it is definitely worth the buy. I’ve also noticed that the color of the tan doesn’t fade easily. After several days, the color was still very dark.

Overall, I was very impressed with the Bondi Sands product. If you want to explore a new beauty routine different, I definitely suggest trying this self-tanner out!
