6 Spring Denim Trends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.
Spring has finally/almost sprung, which means it’s time to update our wardrobes with the newest trends of the season. As designers debuted endless amounts of fresh styles at this year’s Fashion Week, one runway favorite that we’re looking forward to wearing in the warmer season is denim.

Whether you want to be adventurous or just stick to the basics, here are six denim trends to try this spring that will for sure make an epic street style.

1. Shredded Jeans

Wear this ripped denim look with a colorful blouse and strappy sandal and you’re ready for a casual yet super, trendy spring day.

2. Boyfriend Jeans

The boyfriend jean is a go-to if you want to look put together, while feeling comfy. Wearing a pair of jeans that doesn’t restrict you is definitely a trend to embrace!

3. Flare Jeans

Channel your inner ’70s this season and grab a pair of flare bottom jeans. Dress them with a fringe jacket and wedges for an awesome boho-chic look.

4. White/Light Wash Jeans

Step away from the dark wash jeans because light wash is here to stay! Whether it’s white or light blue, wearing these shades for spring is a fashion DO.

5. Overalls

Overalls are one of the biggest and most versatile trends this season. You can choose from pants, shorts to even a skirt and make it unique with your own personal style.

6. Denim Dresses/Skirts

Before freaking out about the fact that denim skirts are making a comeback and your having to relive the awkward 6th grade days of skirts and uggs (we all went there), relax and read on. Wearing a denim dress or skirt is the perfect way to look classy and also trendy!
