For many, makeup is an essential aspect of daily life. Whether it’s full coverage, the natural look, or the bare minimum, we all use makeup every now and then. This means that it’s important to think deeper when it comes to buying things like your favorite shade of eyeshadow. It’s important to know what you’re putting on your face! The makeup industry had (and still has) a dark attachment to testing their products on animals, however there are plenty of amazing cruelty-free brands out there. Here are a few of our favorites!

NARS

Nars is a brand know for its deeply pigmented color palettes, from blush to highlighter to eyeshadows. While on the more expensive side, their products are well worth the splurge.

TheBalm

Both their products and brushes are100% cruelty free, which makes using their high quality makeup a guilt-free task. With spunky packaging and unique names, TheBalm products are both beautiful and conscientious.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Known mainly for their stellar brow gels and powders, Anastasia products are a beauty essential when it comes to filling in brows and contouring cheeks. A perfect alternative to products that may not be cruelty-free!

e.l.f.

e.l.f. works to mimic high-end makeup brands while remaining inexpensive. These cruelty-free products are available at most drug stores for convenient purchase and range from eyeshadow palettes to lip liners and everything in-between.

NYX

Arguably one of the most popular drugstore brands, NYX offers quality makeup that is both long-lasting and pigmented. Ranging in shades from bold to neutral, these products are both practical and guiltless.

Wet’n’Wild

Although not as popular as previously listed drugstore brands, Wet’n’Wild’s products serve as good dupes for brands that aren’t cruelty-free. For example, a lot of there eyeshadows are almost identical to those of MAC while remaining cheaper. What more could we ask for?

While there are plenty of other brands that are 100% cruelty-free, the ones listed above are both easily accessible and affordable. They give users a wide variety of quality products that are long-lasting and appealing. We think it’s totally worth it to invest in some of their makeup!
