You can take a deep dive into the VSCO girl trend and what exactly constitutes a VSCO girl, but there are a few key pieces for this costume: a scrunchie, an oversized t-shirt, a Hydroflask water bottle with stickers, and either Birkenstocks or Vans. To complete the look, try wearing a pastel Fjallraven Kanken, puka shell necklace, and spending your whole evening saying “sksksk, and I oop.”

Midsommar cult member costumes seem like they may be this year’s version of the face masks from The Purge. Pick out any floral dress, add a flower crown, and carry around a mallet for the best pictures so you don’t have to keep clarifying your costume.

Though Black Mirror season five was a hit and miss in terms of its episodes, Miley Cyrus’ Ashley O costume is fairly easy to emulate and spot. Not only is Euphoria incredibly popular currently, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet is an iconic movie as well. Find a pair of angel wings, a long white dress, and go heavier on the eye makeup for this look.

The past few years have seen more films that portray middle and high school more realistically, such as Eighth Grade and The Edge of Seventeen. This year, Booksmart takes that title. Perfect for best friends, this costume can be quickly pulled together from your closet or your friends. For Molly, wear a plaid blazer, yellow turtleneck, and a denim skirt. For Amy, find a denim jacket with patches, layer it over a brown sweater and red collared skirt, and finish it off with a pair of striped jeans.
