10 Thoughts we all have in the Dining Hall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

At one point or another, we all make trips to the dining hall. It’s a place filled with unlimited food, long lines and crowded tables. We’ve all certainly had these 10 common thoughts while simultaneously stuffing our faces in the d-hall!

 1. “Is this bowl/fork/cup clean?”

Just close your eyes and use it. A girl’s gotta eat.

2. “I’ll just get the vegan dessert.”

Vegan means healthy, right? And healthy is good…right?

3. “Can I just take the whole pizza? One slice won’t be enough.”

The other food might not be so great, but you can always count on glorious pizza.

4. “Must eat healthy. Must eat healthy. MUST. EAT. HEALTHY.”

Oh wait..Is that an Oreo parfait?!

5. “I’m torn between really wanting to get this and not wanting to stand in this long line.”

Screw it. I’m getting pizza.

6. “WHY is one person taking up a whole booth?”

Why does one person need all that space? Why??

7. *When eating alone* “A booth! Perfect!”

Ah, the intimacy of a booth. The perfect place to eat dinner for one!

8. “Gotta make the most of my meal plan!”

The excuse of the century to eat lots of food and have zero regrets. We’re maximizing what we paid for!

9. “Am I really full, or do I want dessert?”

Trick question! Dessert always, duh.

10. “I’m just gonna shove some of this food in backpack for later.”

Broke college student, amirite?

The love/hate relationship with the dining hall is so real. But hey, they make really good pizza.
