10 Songs to Get You Through the Week: October Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Now that it’s finally October, we can take advantage of all the new music releases that come with it. Here are ten more songs to keep you moving throughout the week:

1. “Mi Gente” by J Balvin, Willy William (feat. Beyoncé)

Could this song be any better? Well, just add Beyoncé and you’ll see that it can, in fact, get better. Beyoncé also stated that she plans to donate all the proceeds from the song to Puerto Rico. Even better, right?

2. “Stargazing” by Kygo ft. Justin Jesso

Kygo creates a surprisingly catchy electronic beat behind the soft vocals of Justin Jesso. It is similar to Kygo’s last singles with Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding.

3. “Sorry not Sorry” by Demi Lovato

“Sorry not Sorry” is sure to put a pep in your step. It might make you feel like you want to punch a boy, but just take that energy and use it to finish the week strong.

4. “Glorious” by Macklemore ft. Skylar Gray

Macklemore is back with this optimistic song. Skylar Grey is known for being featured on “I’m Coming Home,” and “Glorious” actually sounds pretty similar to that.

5. “Reggaetòn Lento (Remix)” by CNCO & Little Mix

PSA: Little Mix is severely underrated.

6. “OMG” by Camila Cabello ft. Quavo

Camila Cabello has only released bops so far. Anything Quavo is featured on is an instant hit. Great combination.

7. “How Long” by Charlie Puth

So this song sounds extremely like Charlie Puth’s last song, “Attention,” but for some reason I don’t mind and it is super catchy.

8. “Thinking ‘Bout You – Decco Remix” by Dua Lipa, Decco

Any song sung by Dua Lipa will make you feel like a badass while walking down Comm. Ave.

9. “Sky Walker” by Miguel, Travis Scott

Miguel is known for having a smooth voice, and he doesn’t disappoint here. Travis Scott brings the same vibe he does in his own song, “Butterfly Effect,” too.

10. “Better Days” by Hedley

This is probably the most electronic song on this list, but it provides a nice background beat to get you through the week.
