After watching last week’s Glee’s Valentine’s Day episode, the truth is that every girl secretly loves the idea of having a boy like Artie, Puck, or Blain who can sing to them on this special day. Unfortunately, many of our significant others lack the musical abilities to serenade us, or we just haven’t found that special someone yet. So to make up for this loss, my gift to you on this special day of love, I have created a special “XOXO” playlist of songs we love by the boys we love. From Disney’s Aladdin to Justin Timberlake,  Happy Valentine’s Day!

1. Disney’s “A Whole New World” – Aladdin

It probably makes you laugh, but it is a classic love song from our generation. Think about it. We were all a bunch of three to five year old girls… flying carpets, travels, and a cute prince was all we could think about when it came to love.

2. “Are you Lonesome Tonight” – Elvis Presley

Valentine’s Day would not be complete without the musical talent of Elvis. Also known as “The King,” Presley had many women, including our mothers, swooning over his beautiful voice, sexy hip shaking, and beautiful blue eyes.

3. THE boy band. “This I Promise You” ‘N Sync

I apologize for all you Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees fans, but ‘N Sync was the best boy band during our teen years. With sick harmonies, great moves, and looks from Justin and JC, who wouldn’t want to have these guys sing to you? They are so good, that we have to see them live. Listen to JC… my first Valentine’s crush.

4. “My Girl” – The Temptations

Talk about harmonies and talent, The Tempations sing effortlessly about their girl.

5. Usher -“Love in this Club”

He is just so sexy- looks and vocals. Enough Said.

6. Usher- “My Boo”

Let’s be honest… how can you only pick one Usher song? So it’s a special treat…. for those who can’t get over that special someone.

7. Justin Timberlake- “My Love”

His voice is beautiful and he can move. Also… who doesn’t want a guy writing love songs and notes to try and prove his love to you? Exactly.

8. “Do You Remember” Jay Sean Ft. Sean Paul

I love this song- the beats are great, the lyrics are catchy, and the video is just fun. He wants you back. Every girl secretly loves when a guy wants the girl back, whether or not she actually wants the relationship again.

9. Jesse McCartney- “Beautiful Soul”

Remember this one? We were always singing it. A boy singing about how you, as a person, is what he loves about you. That you are different and unique compared to anyone else. He doesn’t want to waste his time with just any girl… precious.

10. Justin Beiber- “One Time” Acoustic Version

In honor of the Beiber Fever… he makes it on the “xoxo” playlist. Not the Radio version, but his acoustic version is so much more sensitive and likable. He is adorable, talented, and even though you hate to confess it, you love this song.

Is this all to my “xoxo” playlist? No, way. These are just the boys worth listening to. I also recommend the following songs to make your Valentine’s Day a great one.
1. ANYTHING BOYS II MEN
2. My Life Would Suck Without You – Kelly Clarkson
3. Need You Now- Lady Antebellum
4. Hey There Delilah- Plain White T’s
5. Crazy in Love- Beyonce
6. When a Man Loves a Woman- Michael Bolton
7. Stop, in the Name of Love- The Supremes
8. Love Story- Taylor Swift
9. Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol
10. You’re the One that I want- John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
11. Jesse’s Girl – Rick Springfield
