Sometimes it’s difficult to find makeup that is not only affordable, but doesn’t contain animal products or practice unethical animal testing. But luckily, if you know where to look, there are plenty of makeup brands with ethical standards that are high quality and inexpensive.

ELF Cosmetics

Surprise! One of the most inexpensive makeup brands is vegan. ELF has a wide selection of lip colors, skin care products, and other cosmetic essentials. Most ELF products are sold at drug stores and cost around $3 to $15 per item. Time to go shopping!

Pacifica

Pacifica is one of the most popular vegan makeup companies that sells facial masks, fingernail polish, foundation, etc. Pacifica also has a fragrance line, including unique scents like Himalayan Patchouli Berry (my favorite), Madagascar Vanilla, and Tahitian Garden. Most Pacifica items are sold at Target and cost around $8 to $22.

Soap and Glory

Soap and Glory is a British skincare and makeup brand that is sold at Target, Walgreens, and other drug stores. The brand is mainly known for their luscious lotions like Sugar Crush and Smoothie Star, but include many makeup products like Ace of Shades eye shadow. Thankfully, these products are not expensive and range from $6 to $23.

A major tip when looking for vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics: Always look for the bunny cruelty-free symbol. If a cosmetic brand does not test on animals, then it will usually have a rabbit on the back of the product’s packaging. It is a small symbol, so have keen eyes when searching!
