5 Easy Crafts You Can Do with Your Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryn Mawr chapter.

As the weather cools down, my friends and I have been looking for some more indoor activities to keep us entertained. I love crafting and think it’s a great stress relief, and anyone can do it! Here’s a list of five easy crafts you and your friends can try next time you need a study break.

Coloring Page Suncatchers by 100Directions

These suncatchers would look great hanging in front of your dorm window! And they’re super simple to make. All you need to do is apply any sort of oil (olive, coconut, etc.) to your already-colored coloring pages, tape them to mason jar lids and then tie them all together.

DIY Decorated Mugs by Oh, Honestly!

These are probably the easiest craft on here (and they would make a great birthday or holiday gift). All you need is a blank mug, some sharpies and a design in mind. If you plan on using the mug and putting it in the dishwasher, you should use oil-based sharpies and bake the mugs in the oven before using them.

Pom-Pom Keychain by Made in a Day

I’ve seen a lot of pom poms for sale at accessory stores, but it’s more fun to make your own! You can use a pom-pom maker or use your hands to form the pom-pom. Then you can attach the pom-pom to a keychain. Super easy!

No-Sew T-Shirt Bag by Craftaholics Anonymous

This is the perfect way to use a t-shirt you’re not wearing anymore. All you need are some scissors to cut up the shirt, then you’re just a few ties always from your own t-shirt bag!

Paper Source Paper Craft Kits

These Paper Source kits will probably cost you a bit more money than the rest of the craft ideas here, but the instructions are really easy to follow and the crafts always turn out so cute. The kits are usually at the front of the store; they’re on the Paper Source website under “DIY Projects and Decorations.”
