Trader Joe’s Guilty Pleasures

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Trader Joe’s is a great place for both everyday items and unique products that you won’t find in any other grocery store. We have some recommendations for the items that are not the healthiest but definitely worth purchasing every once in a while to treat yo self.

Salt and Pepper Chips

Salt and pepper- the most classic seasoning there is, combined with a classic snack. While other brands make these, we like the Trader Joe’s version because of the thick ridges and the perfect amount of salt and pepper. You will be tempted to eat the whole bag!

Pasta Arrabbiata

While the bag says meal for two, this is definitely a meal that one person can eat. It is that good! This spicy pasta can be found in the frozen section and takes under 10 minutes to make on the stove. Pair this with some bread and salad and it will become your favorite meal.

Peanut Butter Cups

These are just like Reese’s, a favorite candy for many people. One of these a day will be a nice mid-day pick me up or an after dinner sweet treat.

Cinnamon Croissant Loaf

We love this bread toasted with butter or dipped in an egg mixture and made like French toast. This bread is on the expensive side for the small loaf and it is not as healthy as multigrain or wheat bread so it is not something you would eat on the regular.

Flowers

Waking up and looking at flowers on your desk is a great way to start the morning. Trader Joe’s has a wide variety of flowers at various price points. We like to get flowers every once in a while as a nice treat.

Trader Joe’s has many more great items so we recommend you stop by and browse the aisles! Nearby locations are Warwick, RI and Foxboro, MA.
