Thoughts You Have When You Didn’t Study for an Exam

We all have those days when there’s just too much to do, and you know you won’t be able to get everything done in the waking hours. You know you have a test tomorrow, you know you should study, but sometimes you just run out of time. Here are some thoughts you might have if you have a test tomorrow but no time to study:

1.     Should you pull an all nighter and study? Who needs sleep anyways? But you definitely value your sleep and decide against it.

2.     You tell yourself you totally know this material; it shouldn’t be a problem.

3.     You glance over your notes right before the exam… maybe you secretly have a photographic memory you didn’t know about.

4.     You get all mathematical and calculate the lowest grade you can get to keep your current grade in the class. You might find comfort in this or it might completely freak you out.

5.     On the walk to class your palms get sweaty and you start to get real nervous.

6.     When you get there you ask your classmates if they bothered to study. Strength in numbers, right?

7.     At this point you might not even care if you pass or not. You just want to get it over with.

8.     When the test is placed on your desk you immediately scan through it to see if there’s at least some questions you might know.

9.       You realize you know literally nothing

10.     You check Blackboard every hour for the next week to see if your grade is posted yet. Of course it’s not though because professors take forever to grade anything.

11.     Either you surprised yourself and somehow did really well, or you didn’t do so well (maybe you even failed?). This is 100% a lesson for next time… Even if you did well you should always make time to study!
