Thoughts On Promise Rings

Are they for guys who just truly aren’t ready for commitment or do they represent a deeper level of commitment?

Collection of points defending promise rings:

·         A promise ring may be the only thing he can afford at the time.

·         It’s another way to profess love to each other.

·         It’s not that the man is not ready for a deeper commitment, but he is not financially ready for marriage.

·         He wants to make it clear to the world that he is going to marry you, just cannot right now due to financials.

Collection of points in opposition to promise rings:

·         I’m not ready to ask you if you’ll marry me, but one day I do hope to ask you. “Will you wear this ring I got you celebrating this lukewarm occasion?”

·         Promise rings are just made up by rich marketing executives that are only interested in your money.

·         You should not need a promise ring to know how your man feels about you.

·         A man should not have to give a ring to ensure this woman is faithful when he is away.
