Tailgating Essentials

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Football season is in full swing collegiettes!  Whether it’s going to a college game at your school or heading to an NFL game, tailgating is half the fun! We’re here to give you some tips to help make your tailgating easy, fun, and successful.

Games

You’ve got to keep yourself busy somehow so why not some fun parking lot games. Here are some classics that never fail:

  • Cornhole
  • Kan Jam
  • Frisbee
  • Football

Snacks, snacks, snacks!

Have each of your friends bring their favorite chips and dip or any dish of their choice and you will have an abundance of delisious foods. Some of our favorites include buffalo chicken dip with some tortilla chips or a veggie platter with some ranch dip!

Sweatshirts, hats, gloves

Layer your clothes because although the sun may keep you warm during the day, the fall nights can be extremely chilly!  We love the perfect tailgating outfit…don’t you?

A cooler full of drinks!

Stay hydrated! It may not be super-hot (or cold) weather but you still need that H2O.

  • Apple cider, hot or cold
  • Hot chocolate
  • Hard apple cider is our favorite fall drink (if you’re of age of course)

Some other items that are awesome to have if they are available would be a portable grill for some burgers and dogs and a fold out table to keep all your yummy food on!

Go out there and tailgate!
