Just slightly over a year ago, INC. magazine published an article titled Market Research is The New Black.  Well a year down the road and I think it’s fair to say they were right.  The article talks about the new start-up Stylitics.  According to their website, “Stylitics is where the stylish and savvy go to organize their style, share their opinions, and discover new trends and looks from our fashion-forward community of users. Through innovative use of real-time style data, Stylitics gives users insight into the inner workings of their closets. Basically, it’s your style. Smarter.”  Pretty plain and simple right? Â
For a consumer, this site is perfect to log what you wear and when you wear it to judge what you should and shouldn’t need for the future. Â For example, have you ever stood in awe with huge glistening eyes and an o-shaped mouth staring at a pair of Steve Madden pumps at Nordstrom? Â You try your best to way the pro’s and con’s of the question, “am I really going to wear these?” Â Well they’re Steve Madden pumps so of course you’ll wear them on a night out but on a more important level, the great thing about Stylitics, for a consumer, is to go back to their “closet reports” and judge what shoes you have worn in the past and figure out if you really do need those Steve Madden pumps. Â
For a business who may rely on consumer trends in fashion for the success of their business, this website is perfect. This web platform gives a direct look into what a consumer is wearing and owns. Â Giving a client of Stylitics real-time trends and actionable insights which in the long run makes a happy customer and profitable business.
Get it? Â Okay good.
