With the holidays quickly approaching, it is time to start thinking about the perfect gifts! If you’re looking for a quick and easy yet meaningful DIY gift, a mason jar is the perfect option. Mason jars are extremely versatile and can be personalized for every loved one in your life!

For the person with a sweet tooth: Christmas Cookie in a Jar!

One of the best parts of Christmas is the never ending amount of sweets. A “cookie in a jar” is perfectly festive and fun for a gift! This can be done for any kind of cookie, or any type of sweet you would like to give. Celebrating Sweet’s made a Christmas M&M Cookie Jar that would be perfect for anyone’s sweet tooth!

Directions:

1. Place the ingredients for homemade cookies into the Mason jar

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Holiday M&Ms
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1-quart Mason jar

Directions:

  1. Make sure to have a Mason jar, paint, a paint utensil, tissues (Kleenex Perfect Fit boxes work best but any kind of tissue works!), scissors, and scrapbook paper.
  2. Paint and customize the Mason jar whichever way you would like
  3. Measure the perimeter of the Mason jar lid and cut out a matching size of the circle using the scrapbook paper. (You can do numerous layers of the scrapbook lid to increase durability) Keep the band on.
  4. Cut an “X” shape in the scrapbook paper (this is where the tissues will come out of)
  5. Place tissues inside the Mason jar
  6. Glue the lid onto the band and side of Mason jar!
