Upon entering Midnight Madness, held on October 24th, the first 600 people received a free Midnight Madness black t-shirt to show their support for the soon to be introduced sports teams. The event was held to kick off winter-sports and welcome the teams to their growing number of bulldog fans. Some highlights from the event include the following:

·        An opening introduction by the Bryant Pep Band. The band provided transition music throughout the night including selections from Iron Man, Pompeii, and Frankenstein.

·        The girls and boys track teams together entertained the crowd with a choreographed dance routine in the dark, illuminated by glow sticks.

·        John Logan, a fellow Bryant Student, preformed an outstanding magic trick that left the audience speechless. President Machtley and several students assisted with the trick.

·        The Bryant Bottom Line A Cappella group sang Pompeii. The crowd jumped in and provided an extra beat to the group by clapping.

·        Various outstanding performances by the Bryant Cheerleaders and Dance teams were performed throughout the event.

·        After a dance performance by the men’s basketball team, a dunk competition between the men basketball players took place.

·        The women’s basketball also performed a dance routine, featuring a cover of High School Musicals “Get’cha Head in the Game”.

·        When the swimming team was introduced, the crowd got a showing of the men strutting their stuff when they opened their jackets and revealed only their swimwear.

·        Various competitions were held throughout the event, including a shooting contest with President Machtley. The winner of the contest was rewarded with a free semester of books.

·        Pizza immediately followed the event.
