Meet the 2014 Orientation Leaders

After undergoing a rigorous selection process, these seventeen impressive students were finally chosen as the Orientation Leaders for the class of 2018! Despite the fact that the Orientation Leaders all have diverse backgrounds and personalities, they have already become a tight-knit group. One could describe this bunch as silly and easy to hang around. Already spending long hours training for the summer, they ‘ve grown very serious as well as passionate about their projects. They cannot wait to welcome the class of 2018 to Bryant University!

Hanna Williamson- Staff Coordinator 

Year: Rising JuniorMajor: CommunicationsFun Fact:  My front right tooth is fake!Why I’m excited to be an OL:  I was an Orientation Leader last year and loved every minute of it. Being a mentor, resource, and friend to the incoming students is a rewarding experience. This year, as the Staff Coordinator, I am even more excited to lead the 2014 OL team and welcome the class of 2018 to the Bryant community! 

Vivian Tejada

Year: Rising SophomoreMajor: International Business: AccountingFun Fact: I intern at Year Up, an organization targeting the development of inner city youth.Why I’m excited to be an OL: I’m excited to be an Orientation Leader because of the impact my OLs had on me. I hope to make similar connections with the incoming class of 2018!

Jaewon Back

Year: Rising JuniorMajor: International Business: MarketingFun Fact: I can sing the Canadian national anthem in both French and English!Why I’m excited to be an OL: I am beyond excited to be an OL because we get to be the first people to really show off our beautiful campus to the class of 2018! Oh, and I hear those golf carts are super fun to drive too!

Year: Rising SophomoreMajor: International BusinessFun Fact: I’ve broken 13 bones.Why I’m excited to be an OL: When I left orientation, I knew that Bryant was the school for me, and I hope I can ensure that the incoming class will feel the same! Their first real impression of life at Bryant comes from orientation, and I’d love to say that I helped make that first impression a great one.

Orientation can make an big impact on an incoming student and his or her perspective on beginning college. I’m excited to be a part of that and meet the newest members of the Bulldog family!

My classes included chainsaws, small engines, as well as wildlife and park management.Why I’m excited to be an OL: I am excited to be an OL to share my passion and experience with the incoming freshmen class. I want to not only help the incoming class to assimilate, but help them figure out what they want to make of their time here at Bryant University. I also plan to build amazing friendships throughout the whole experience.
