A hidden gem in good old Smithfield, Rhode Island happens to be right around the corner from campus. A little under a 10 minute drive off campus and you will find a quaint farm and shop where they sell their fresh produce. Jaswell’s has apple and pumpkin picking in the fall and also has the most DELICIOUS selection of candy apples, caramel apples, caramel covered in chocolate apples, AND best of all, an apple coated in caramel, then chocolate, and the covered in pieces of your favorite candy (Reese’s, Snickers, Kit-Kats). If you aren’t into the candy apples there are apple pies, apple cider, other sweet pastries and homemade ice cream. Jaswell’s is the perfect place for a fall afternoon of fun in New England.
