This month Bryant’s Panhellenic Council and Alliance for Women’s Awareness ran a campaign for Natural Beauty Awareness Month called #iwokeuplikethisBRYANT. Women around campus submitted selfies through Instagram and Twitter to promote their natural beauty. Several celebrities participated in similar campaigns like #NoMakeupSelfie to raise money for cancer research and empower girls to have confidence in themselves without wearing makeup. Sarah Defeo, a sophomore at Bryant University, captioned her selfie with “Because beauty is not defined by how much makeup you put on.”
