Okay, Her Campus, you got everyone good on April Fool’s Day. The “new” site Her Mom was a great way to play a joke with having everyone fooled that it was real. But what if it had been real?
A few people on campus had sent the link to their mothers, knowing it was a joke, but wanted to see what their moms would say. So what did they say? All of them LOVED the idea of having a Her Mom website!
The fact that mothers had a place to go for everything from parenting tips to recipes and everything in between seemed fantastic. The site looked like a real website with the changing story and the different categories at the top. Moms like to blog too and this would have been such a great way to have moms involved with each other sharing their idea you ares.
Fashion trends, recipes, and tips were the more popular topics. Everyone always needs new recipe ideas, especially for families! Whether they are big families or families who no longer have children in the house, it got moms excited! Fashion changes over time and mothers usually look to their daughters for advice; the trend column would help them see trends even when we aren’t by their side. Tips are always nice, no matter what age you are!
In the end, Her Mom would have been a hit if it were real. We believe that Her Campus should start a Her Mom blog! It would be a lot of fun getting our moms involved with something we are all so passionate about!
