Every so often we’ll be flipping through a magazine and spot a “new” fashion trend that looks strangely familiar. Sure enough, that’s exactly what our moms were wearing to high school in the 70’s. There are some fashion trends we are so happy to see return. Others we firmly believe should remain locked in our mothers’ attics. Here are some of the fashion trends we never want to see make a comeback- what trend from the past is your least favorite?
Flared Jeans
This look might have been cool in the 1970’s, but no one wants them making an appearance again. According to the fashion magazines, flared jeans are making a comeback- but not if we have anything to say about it! Say no to flared and stick with skinny.
Mink Hats
Because who wants to walk to class with a dead animal on their head? #savetheminks
Platform Shoes
How did people walk in these things, let around do the Disco?
Scrunchies
When the Tanner girls did it, it was cute. If we did it now, it wouldn’t be.
Tattoo Choker
Everyone had a black choker that looked like this. And no one knows why.
Sagging Pants
Remember when all the boys at your high school walked around with their pants around their knees? That was an unfortunate trend. We’re grateful the boys around here pull their pants up!
