From the Books to the Bar in 10 Minutes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

So it’s that time of year: midterms. Midterms basically murder us and we hate every minute of it. The situation is that you have a midterm first thing tomorrow morning but tonight is WNR so you have to go to Rentes. You can’t miss it. Don’t even try to ask if we have perfect attendance in classes, because perfect attendance at Rentes is obviously way more important. We’re here to help you transition from the books to the bar in 10 minutes or less.

It’s 9:45pm and you are finishing up your reading and making of a study guide in Fisher but you have to be leaving for Rentes with your friends at 10, and you can’t miss it because who wants to walk alone? No one.

Alright, it’s time. Pack up your books and head out the door. Book it to your hall and don’t stop for anything or anyone on the way. You’re on a mission. Maybe start thinking about what shirt you are going to throw on when you get back. When you get to your hall there’s no messing around so drop everything and get ready (oh and also start drinking). Crack open something light – we aren’t going too hard because of course you have a midterm tomorrow and that’s important too. Make up is obviously going to happen but you can’t go all out with your favorite smoky eye look tonight. This is all about looking good but getting it done fast. Basically all you need is to touch up what you already had on but throw on some extra eyeliner and mascara to make it more nighttime appropriate.

When it comes to the outfit there’s no time to spare. Don’t even bother changing your pants. If you had on jeans, go with it. Wearing leggings? Keep those on. It doesn’t really matter. Find whatever shirt is clean and makes you look good and put it on. Don’t even bother checking yourself out in the mirror, just go. Grab your drink, chug the rest and head out the door.

It’s now 9:55 and you have 5 minutes (which is plenty of time on this small of a campus) to make it to your friend’s room to walk to Rentes together. There you have it, from the books to the bars in 10 minutes. You’re welcome.
