Beach It Before You Can’t

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

We are just as excited as you are for the start of fall, but it’s never too late for a trip to the beach! Rhode Island holds some really great spots to check out, whether it’s the ocean or a lake. We picked a few of our favorites that are close to Bryant!

Oakland Beach: Warwick, RI

Located less than 30 minutes from Bryant, this beach is easy to find and a great place to spend the day, or even just a few hours with friends.

Lincoln Woods State Park: Lincoln, RI

Looking for a place a little bit closer? Lincoln Woods is a state park with camp grounds, walking trails and a lake with a beach front. It’s a great place to go for a run, go for a swim or toss a Frisbee around with friends. And a huge plus-free parking! It’s a beautiful place to take in the fall foliage.

Misquamicut State Beach: Westerly, RI

This is one of Rhode Island’s most popular state beaches. While it is a bit further than the previous two options, it’s worth the drive to see big waves and sand that stretches for miles. Check out Misquamicut the weekend of September 13 for Fallfest!

While the weather may be getting cooler, it’s always nice to get off campus for a bit and get some fresh air. Hit up these spots with some friends and don’t forget a Frisbee!
