6 Irritants Across Campus

Here at Bryant there are probably less than .98 things to really make you irritated on this campus.  Writing this article was extremely difficult.  As I asked a few friends what they found to be annoying on campus they had to literally think for 20 minutes on anything that was annoying.  From the “good morning have a great day” you get from each Bryant employee on your walk to class to the sunsets behind the unistructure each evening, Bryant is paradise and probably the least-annoying place on Earth.  However, I piled together 6 of the most irritating things we come across almost on a day to day basis.  Let me know your thoughts…

  1. The cafe in roto does not make egg sandwiches.  Found this one out this morning the hard way.  Grabbing one of the egg sandwiches the cafes on campus makes is always a good way to start your day-they’re out of this world delicious!  It’s my favorite treat at the library cafe.  This morning I woke up and had no time to make my own egg sandwich so on my way to class I figured I would stop at the cafe in Roto and grab one.  Well turns out they do not make them there so what did I do?  Went to the library, bought one, and still made it on time to class.  Annoying Roto cafe didn’t have it in the first place!
  2. The geese! I think everyone can complain about this one.  Those things are scary!
  3. Snagging a side table or study room in the lib is like getting a “white Christmas”…very rare yet awesome when it happens.  Trying to score a study room or side table in the library, especially at this time of year, is almost impossible.  It’s annoying how all the students would wrestly each other for them if they could!  They’re the best studying spots on campus.  Well there and then, of course, the third floor of the Bryant Center late at night.
  4. Mastering where each office suite is…Is it just me or does everyone have no idea where each office suite is?  It’s annoying.
  5. The walk from the townhouses to unistructure.  This campus is so small that taking the walk from one side of campus to the other (the townhouses to the unistructure) shouldn’t be that much of problem considering it takes exactly 7 minutes.  However, when you’re a Bryant student, the walk seems like it never ends.  It’s such a long walk that it is so irritating when you have to go back and fourth all day long.
  6. All hall buildings lock at 11pm.  This makes our campus extra safe, don’t get me wrong.  However, calling up to your friends any time after 11pm and begging and pleading for them to come let you in since you don’t live in their hall is so frustrating.  How many of you have been walking to a friend’s hall, looked at your phone, saw 10:58pm written in big numbers, and started sprinting…just to see that green light turn to red just before your hand could grab the door handle? Victim right here.
