While most of us are praying spring weather will be here soon, Punxsutawney Phil (you know…the groundhog), unfortunately saw his shadow so we have at least a couple more weeks of winter to go through *sighs dramatically*. While winter is still here, why not try out some new nail polish colors?

Here are some of Her Campus Bryant’s favorite shades to wear this winter:

1. Deep Berry

Deep maroons are a classic shade to wear in the winter, but adding just a touch of pink will take this color to a whole new level. Deep Berry toned shades are a great way to rock some color on your nails, without wearing something too bright for winter. The best part about this color is that it looks good on every single skin tone! Who knew pink could be so universal?

2. Slate Gray

We love a good neutral shade – something that matches with all your outfits, looks professional, is understated… but browns and tans just scream “fall.” Try out a slate gray this season! The hint of blue in this gray shade makes it so versatile, and is flattering on a variety of skin tones. It is a step up from your basic gray and we’re obsessed!

3. Forest Green

Everyone loves a good black nail polish, but why not spice things up with a deep green? Forest Green isn’t as harsh of a color to sport on your nails – it’s a little more chic and a little less “I’m in 7th grade and only listen to My Chemical Romance” than a black nail polish. It’s a great transition shade from the olive greens of the fall into the winter months. Her Campus loves it, and we know you will too!

4. Dusty Purple

When you think of wintertime purples, deep violet shades typically come to mind – but this underrated gray-purple shade is so unique and beautiful during these cold months. It is muted enough to be wearable while still adding some color to your nails. It is gorgeous on so many skin tones, and we know once you try this shade it will be your go-to!

5. Iridescent

It may be cold outside, but this color is HOT this winter! This prismatic shade is so much fun and is sure to spice up any outfit. It is the perfect way to add a metallic look to your nails without looking like a glittery mess. The variety of colors swirled into this shade makes it surprisingly versatile, and will match so many potential winter outfits. This color is fresh, trendy, and definitely one of the coolest shades to rock on your nails!
