5 Classic Christmas Movies To Watch This Holiday Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Here at Her Campus we love the holiday season. One of our favorite things about this time of year in snuggling up under a cozy blanket and watching a holiday movie.  We’ve got too many favorites to put in one article, but here are our favorite classic Christmas movies!

1. White Christmas

Easily the most well-known classic Christmas film.  It’s shown on a bunch of different TV stations, so make sure you catch it some time this December.

2. Holiday Inn

This classic movie from the 1930’s is filled with wonderful music and fantastic dancing.  It could easily get you in a festive mood.

3. It’s A Wonderful Life

Another Christmas classic! This movie is usually shown in local theaters around this time of year too, so while you’re home on break, check to see if a movie theater near you is showing it!

4. Miracle on 34th Street

There’s been a few different adaptations to this movie, but even though all of them are great, here at Her Campus we have a bit of a soft spot for the original version from the 1940’s.

5. The Bishop’s Wife

The last one on our list, and possibly the least well-known.  We highly recommend that you check out this movie about a Bishop who is visited by an angel, who happens to steal the attention of the Bishop’s wife.
