20 Things We’re Grateful for, but Can’t Tell Our Parents

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Everyone’s favorite holiday coming up and it is time to get together with family and friends to gobble up some turkey and say what you are thankful for. When you sit down for Thanksgiving, remember that we all have our dirty little secrets to keep from our parents. Here is a list of a few things you want to say at Thanksgiving, but can’t because you need to keep it PG for the parents and grandparents (sorry, Nana).

As college students, we are thankful for:

1.      All the really sweet girls we meet in the bathroom when we’re drunk… shout out, miss you

2.      Late night pizza and doughboys on the weekend

3.      Research librarians the night before our paper is due

4.      Wearing our pj’s to class

5.      Thursday night wine and Grey’s

6.      Roomie pillow talk

7.      Tuesday Night Rente’s

8.      Maxs’ liquor selection

9.      Boys in suits

10.   Crazy weekends we barely remember with our friends

11.   The endless love affair we have with our bed and Netflix on Sunday

12.   Just Netflix in general

13.   Scaled exams

14.   How our roommates are down to drink at any given point in the day with us

15.   Bagpipe guy

16.   Dunkin’ Iced Water

17.   Nicks Meal Swipes

18.   Late night Ronzio’s

19.   The three afternoon naps we took… in one day

20.   The crazy memories with the best friends we’ve made

At the end of the day we are all thankful for our friends, family and of course food, but this list is written on our hearts.
