As the holiday season rolls around, it’s time to start thinking about gift-giving. Whether you get roped into Secret Santa, or simply want to give a family member something small to make them smile, inexpensive gifts can be hard to come by. A simple gift can go a long way, especially during these tough times of COVID-19. Here are a few ideas for some great gifts under $20…

1. Glossier products, glossier.com

With many fun products and a particularly aesthetically pleasing website, Glossier is a fan-favorite. Here are just a few products to choose from:

Balm Dotcom lip balm, $12

Lash Stick, $16

Boy Brow brow gel, $16

Hand Cream, $18

Lidstar glistening eye glow stick, $18

Lip Gloss, $14

2. Bombas socks, bombas.com

Bombas is my personal favorite sock brand, and they have hundreds of inexpensive socks to choose from. But of course, you can find other cute, inexpensive socks from many other websites, such as Urban Outfitters or ASOS.

3. Coffee gift card

Whether your loved one prefers Dunkin’ to Starbucks, or Matcha to Cold Brew, a $20 giftcard to the coffee shop of one’s choice is always appreciated.

4. Jade roller, amazon.com, $17

A treat for those who are into skin-care routines.

5. Bullet journal, amazon.com, $10

For your more creative friends or family members who carry New Yorker tote bags and love to scribble things down.

6. Essie nail polish, essie.com

Choose two colors that you know your loved one likes– each bottle costs only $9.

7. Coffee Mug

Whether it’s used to hold coffee, tea, or even a toothbrush, a pretty mug is always nice and useful to have around. Find one you like for your loved one on amazon, Etsy, Urban Outfitters, or anywhere else you can think of.

8. Champagne candle, knackshops.com, $16

This candle, which both smells and looks like a fancy bottle of champagne, is a great and funny gift for a friend. Also check out Knack’s page entitled, “Sustainable Gift Ideas,” for some more inexpensive, environmentally friendly presents.

9. Travel cosmetic bag, lululemon.com, $19

Although we’re not doing much travelling these days, one can never have enough small toiletry bags. Lulu lemon offers these bags in multiple cute colors and patterns.

10. Baked goods

They say the way to one’s heart is through their stomach. Personally, I love when a friend bakes me cookies or brownies- not that it happens too often. Find a simple recipe (I suggest allrecipes.com), and bake your friend or family member a delicious gift!
