Why you need to head to BREW Urban Café

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Broward chapter.

What is there to do in sunny South Florida, other than being a beach bum? Coffee Shop Adventuring!

Let’s face it, as convenient as Starbucks and Dunking Donuts are for getting your daily caffeine fix, it is not the best atmosphere for a coffee and chill type of date. Stumbling into one of the coolest coffee shops in Fort Lauderdale, it felt as if I uncovered a second home.  BREW Urban Café is known for its eccentric homey décor, its breathtaking wall furnished with a plethora of books (which one can literally hand pick and read), board games on table tops, funky menus written inside books filled with poems and quotes from strangers, and its delicious lattes accompanied scrumptious pastries. This rad coffee shop is an Instagram worthy setting to take the best selfies with your fancy cappuccino. Well known tagger Banksy and other artists has left their mark with vibrate graffiti and art work in every nook and cranny that can be admired or be used for the perfect mini photo shoot. Other than being a hipster chic café, Brew invites all coffee lovers, or non coffee lovers, to come in and relax every Tuesday for a complimentary movie night with free popcorn and wine. Yes, ladies it’s the Olivia Pope style with the combination of both. In addition, Brew hosts open mics, yoga classes, and many other enjoyable events. Be sure to check out the hidden gem yourself, you’ll be glad you did.

Walking down this alley will make you feel like you’ve discovered Narnia to caffeinate yourself.

What a great alternative scene for a date!

How cute are these menus though? Don’t forget to flip through the pages and feel inspired by poems written by visitors.

Brews got you covered Monday-Friday. These iced cold drinks are a major key for Floridians on a hot summer day!

Where else would you find a back to the future themed trailer inside a coffee shop? Not only is it used for Movie night updates but also a mini shop with various of hipster clothing and knick-knacks inside.
