  • Candle: placed in the menorah. One is lit each day of Hanukkah.
  • Latke: A potato pancake fried in oil.
  • Gelt: a small amount of money. Can be given in chocolate coins.
  • Gift: one gift is given each night of Hanukkah.
  • Menorah: A nine branched candle holder.
  • Dreidel: A spinning top. Has four sides, each with a different Hebrew letter.
  • Shin: A Hebrew letter, on the dreidel. It means pay.
  • Gimmel: A Hebrew letter, on the dreidel. It means everything.
  • Nun: A Hebrew letter, on the dreidel. It means nothing.
  • Hey: A Hebrew letter, on the dreidel. It means half.
