Board of Trustees Meeting at North Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Broward chapter.

Definition: An appointed or elective board that supervises the affairs of a public or private organization: the board of trustees of the university or college; the art museum’s board of trustees! As pointed out on our Broward College website, this is what can be said about the board: The Broward College District Board of Trustees brings together five community leaders with diverse backgrounds who provide dedicated leadership to the College and its activities. The Governor of the State of Florida appoints this group of outstanding local citizens. As governing board of the College, they are the stewards of BC’s commitment to excellence, while they guide the College and implement the goals enumerated in their mission statement. Their desire to provide students with the academic skills needed to transfer to four – year colleges and universities, to enhance skills to be competitive in the rapidly changing job market, and to offer opportunities for continuing education, personal growth and enrichment is a challenge they approach with enthusiasm.

As a team, these dynamic community leaders are fully engaged in providing a future that offers increased higher education opportunities for Broward County residents.  The Board of Trustees are the names of: John A. Benz (Chair). Gloria M. Fernandez (Vice Chair). Dr. Rajendra Gupta (Trustee). David R. Maymon (Trustee). Lastly, Mike Rump (Trustee). Also, at the Board of Trustees you may speak a concern that you have with the Broward College campus you have a problem with and President David Armstrong along with the Board will kindly go over the issue, therefore take action upon the issue itself! Broward College has many different campus in the wide – range of Broward County: Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie, Broward College Online Campus in Fort. Lauderdale. Willis Holcombe Center also in Fort. Lauderdale as well as the Cypress Creek Administrative Center. Judson A. Samuels South Campus in Pembroke Pines. Aviation Annex also in Pembroke Pines as well as the Pines Center.   North Campus in Coconut Creek. AutoNation Center for Excellence in Automotive and Technology/Marine Center of Excellence in Miramar. Miramar Town Center also in Miramar as well as the Miramar West Center. Coral Springs Academic Center in Coral Springs. Weston Center in Weston. Lastly, Tigertail Lake Center in Diana Beach.

I attend Broward College North Campus, so I spoke up about littering on the campus. Now, I have my own movement that will be coming up starting the Fall term 2017 and beyond. Which, I’m most definitely sure will be successful!  So, as every student, or non – student should know! Keep up the hard work you do every day of your lives, in which you all do excellent at!

I'm Miss.
