A curated list of quietly cool clothing brands that are a must for emerging it-girls.

Forget about overflowing boxes of plastic Shein bags, £1 PLT sales, and fast fashion hauls – in 2026, the most stylish thing you can do is share, swap, and support small. Thanks to fashion TikTok and it‑girl Insta‑stalking, I’d consider myself an expert on the new up-and-coming brands to watch — and my bank balance is suffering accordingly. Read on at your own financial risk. So, in light of Her Campus Bristol’s Clothing Swap, taking place in Senate House (Living Room, Fourth Floor) on January 21st (2-3:30pm), I’ve rounded up four of my favourite small, slow fashion brands lovingly made to be worn, worn again, and passed on.

Beasha Studios

Based in Bristol, Beasha Studios is an independent, women-owned fashion label that sources deadstock, organic, and vintage fabrics to hand-sew their pieces. These quirky pieces make the perfect showstopper in your wardrobe – versatile and waste-conscious. Given the stamp of approval from popstar princess Olivia Rodrigo, Beasha Studios is one to watch in 2026.

“It is important to me to practice slow fashion and never compromise on design or quality.”

My Pick: The Amélie Top and Camille Shorts in Black on White Polka Dot

Described as “Vintage Parisian style meets Pretty Women”, this 100% printed soft cotton sateen set is all the rage right now, featuring a gorgeous white and black polka-dot print. It could be said that it’s the perfect festival look (yes, I am longing for summer in January…).

Fruity Booty

Self-described as a ‘female-led project consciously creating underwear, swimwear, and clothing’ (fruitybooty.co.uk), Fruity Booty holds everything you could ever dream of from lace bras to staple garments, all made sustainably with deadstock fabric and eco-friendly materials. Proclaimed a ‘Cult British Brand’ by Who What Wear, and hosting successful pop-ups from New York to London, Fruity Booty has stolen the hearts of planet-conscious baddies worldwide.

My Pick: Double Layer Long Sleeve in Grey and Turquoise

Perfect for wintertime, these tops contain wool for added warmth, are unattached, and can be worn separately, making them versatile for any occasion. The ideal staple investment for your wardrobe.

Many Many Clothes

I stumbled across Many Many Clothes on TikTok, with their ultra-casual snapshots of models in various settings across America – in the back of a truck, drinking beers, or frolicking at a petrol station – all dressed in the most gorgeous dresses and skirt sets. Run by an all-female team in London, Many Many Clothes is selling the best pieces, with the best marketing I’ve seen in a long time.

‘WE WANT TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEEL WHEN YOUR WEARING OUR CLOTHES. MANY MANY CLOTHES GIRLS GET THE BEST OUT OF LIFE. THEY LOVE ROAD TRIPS, PICNICS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD (EVEN IF THEY’VE BROKEN DOWN), THEY LOVE SWIMMING IN THE SEA, LAUGHING, KISSING, READING, LEARNING.’

My Pick: The Lola Ballerinas in Black Polka

My number one must-have on this list is the Lola Ballerinas in any colour; I’m completely obsessed with the shape of these flats, and I adore the heel. The most gorgeous Repetto dupe I’ve ever seen.

Minka Dink

Formerly a small lockdown project for founder Minnie Royden, which grew in her final year of university, Minka Dink London was officially launched in 2021. Creating beautiful, timeless, and versatile pieces for women, Minka Dink produces from factories in the UK, China, Turkey, and Vietnam, yet they visit their offices often to collaborate and make sure everyone is committed to making sustainable choices. They produce their garments in small quantities to reduce waste and hold annual sample sales. Their quietly chic energy establishes Minka Dink at it-girl status.

My Pick: Dani Shirt

Made from denim cotton, the Dani set is perfect for a stroll around a European city this summer, practical but cute!
